Who We Are
Yemen Cancer Care is focused on alleviating the distress and prolonging the lives of Yemeni cancer patients by giving them the best medical care, treatment and care, at zero cost to them.
Our Mission We’re on a mission to bring relief and comfort to the Yemeni cancer patients by providing vital access to healthcare which otherwise would not be available to them due to poverty.
Here at Yemen Cancer Care, we have many decades of experience working in Yemen delivering a multitude of projects which have aided men, women and children who have been suffering. We’ve now focused the majority of our efforts on curing those who suffer from disease, namely cancer, and prolonging or improving their quality of life. We’re adamant that every human being deserves access to healthcare which is sufficient to maintain their survival and reduce their pain and suffering. The people of Yemen are no different, and they’re deserving of our efforts to bring them hope. Our UK and overseas staff and volunteers, along with our partners continue on their mission to save Yemen’s cancer patients, giving them hope for a much brighter future ahead, in a world of misery and despair.
Our Values & Vision
Yemen Cancer Care’s values stem from the beautiful religion of Islam; namely the divine words of Allah s.w.t. and the beautiful teachings of rasul Allah ﷺ; which together are our guidance for this life.
Islam teaches us to provide for those who are suffering, relieve them of their pain and discomfort, and to save their lives, ultimately for the sake of God alone. We’re commanded to feed, quench thirst, and provide relief. Our efforts in this humanitarian work are ultimately a shadow of the efforts of the best of examples, prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
We have a vision to see a world where our fellow Yemeni people are not forced to suffer immensely, especially not alone. We do not want to see them begging on the streets to be able to afford their medication, or selling their assets and sometimes even family members just to be able to afford treatment. We have a vision to see prolonged life, but also a higher quality life, for those who are facing impoverished conditions in Yemen.
Our Focus:
Yemen Cancer Care is specifically focused on Yemen where a prolonged civil war, disease outbreaks and climate effects have forcefully brought about extreme suffering for millions. Tens of thousands currently suffer from cancer with little or no access to treatments and medication which could bring them a cure or prolong their lives.
With our generous donors’ support, we’re able to offer sufficient access to healthcare which can ease the suffering of these cancer patients, and ultimately save their lives, earning the donors the reward for saving all of mankind.
