Feed the Fasting

More than 22 million Yemenis rely on humanitarian aid and many of them are waiting for Ramadan food so they can fast in this blessed month.

Rewards for Fasting Without Fasting

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is reported to have said, “Whoever feeds a fasting person will earn the same reward as him without diminishing in any way the reward of the fasting person.”

The blessed month of Ramadan is upon us and everyone deserves the chance to carry out the nobly duty of fasting. In Yemen, our fellow Muslims do not have access to adequate suhoor or iftaar meals, so they’re unable to fast sufficiently.

Yemen Cancer Care are providing lifesaving food packs in Yemen which can provide a family of up to five people with nutritious suhoor and iftaar meals for up to the whole of Ramadan.

Yemen has suffered for more than 15 years leaving millions malnourished, without access to nutritious meals, even outside of Ramadan. Food is life’s basic necessity and every single person deserves access, and should not be left to go to sleep hungry.

For a simple donation of £140 today, you can feed two families for all of Ramadan, earning the reward of fasting without even fasting. A simple £5 can provide one hot meal in Ramadan.

Please choose from one of our popular donation amounts below and make a difference in the lives of those who are misfortunate, as they solely rely on your assistance this Ramadan for survival.

Food Saves Lives

Ramadan is a month of blessings, a month of worship and a month of happiness where many of us focus on bettering ourselves whilst spending time with our families.

For those who are suffering due to war, natural disasters and poverty, their focus is simply on food – what will they break their fast with? How will their children eat in the evening? Will there be enough food to be able to fast throughout Ramadan?

We’re here to answer these questions with our actions. Yemen Cancer Care is dedicated to ending hunger through the delivery of vital humanitarian aid in the form of nutritious cooked hot meals and food packs which include all the necessary foodstuffs to allow families to cook and provide for themselves throughout this holy month.

Make a donation today and make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged in this blessed month of Ramadan.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
