Cancer Treatment Appeal

More than 35,000 Yemenis are currently suffering from cancer with little hope for treatment and little to no access to medication. Your support can help us save lives today.

Relieve Distress & Save Lives

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter.”

The people of Yemen have had to endure severe difficulties and distress for more than 15 years. A devastating civil war, a deadly COVID-19 pandemic, multiple climate disasters and the spread of disease and illness have forced the economy on the edge, bringing about difficulties and despair for millions.

There are currently 22 million who rely on humanitarian aid, with many of them sleeping hungry every single night. Of them, millions are malnourished including children, and without assistance, their pains have been unbearable. On top of the effects of hunger and thirst, there are tens of thousands who have been diagnosed with cancer, at its various stages.

Sadly, dozens of cancer patients lose their lives in Yemen every single month as they’re forced to beg on the streets just to be able to afford simple medication which could reduce their pain, agonies and affliction. Due to the collapse of the healthcare system, Yemeni cancer patients are left with little hope of treatment, and many times are left to see out their final days, in serious pain and discomfort.

Yemen Cancer Care is here to make a huge difference in the lives of these cancer patients by providing them with all that they need to fight this deadly disease. We work with these patients from A to Z, offering them transportation, food, accommodation, treatment and medication.

A simple £500 can save a life, and bring relief to a Yemeni cancer patient in need. You can also donate £250, £100, £50 or whatever you can afford, and this will go a long way in bringing ease to those who otherwise have a very bleak future in front of them.

Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Whoever saves one life, it is as though he has saved all of mankind.”
[Qur’an 5:32]

Please make a generous donation and earn the rewards for saving all of mankind today. The Yemeni people are relying on your compassion, mercy and generosity to get through this very difficult period of their life.

Their prayers for you are unmissable.

Be the hope for the cancer patients of Yemen and offer them another chance at life so they can see out their final days in peace, happiness and contentment.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When YCCUK Yemen Cancer Care receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
